Currently accepting all brands
We currently accept all shoe brands for repair. We also acknowledge that some manufacturers make their shoes more repairable than others, and results may vary based on this. Shoes that are marketed as entry level are not always made with the same materials and to the same quality standard as higher end models. We do our best to repair every shoe, but some shoes are unrepairable. Please read below for more information.
*Currently not accepting No Edge (La Sportiva) shoes. TBD on availability.
*La Sportiva Tarantulace have a known bonding issue that leads to delamination. We cannot guarantee work on these shoes.
Are my shoes repairable?
We are starting to see the parting line dip below into the sole. When the sole is worn, the rand becomes susceptible to excessive wear or damage. Fortunately, we have not started to wear the rand too much, and will only need a sole repair.
Just Right
After wearing through the sole material and continuing to climb, the rand has been worn through. A small portion of the rand will have to be removed and replaced to protect from further damage. A rand repair must be done in combination with a sole repair.
Rand Repair
Anytime there is wear beyond the rubber and through the sock material, the integrity of the shoe is lost. If you can put a pencil through it, the shoes can not be repaired. If you have concerns about your shoes, please contact us at projectresole@gmail.com

Previously repaired shoes
If your shoes have been previously repaired by another resoler, there may be issues that prevent us from resoling your shoes. Every resoler has their own system and may take off more or less rubber in the repair process. If there is damage that prevents us from restoring your shoes, or additional services are necessary, we will contact you before proceeding.
Best Practice
We advise climbers to monitor the wear of their shoes regularly and to repair sooner rather than later. This practice will prolong the life of the shoes greatly, reduce performance loss, and save money on repairs.
Half Sole Repair
When a shoe has a sole that spans the entire length, toe to heel, there are two repair choices. The first is a half sole, and the second is a full sole.
The half sole repair removes the front portion of the sole and bonds to the original rear piece.
This repair is very cost effective and allows the replacement of worn parts without removing the entire sole.
$50
Full Sole Repair
This is the second repair option for a shoe that has a sole that spans the entire length, toe to heel.
The full sole repair is only necessary when damage has occurred in multiple places along the sole, or if the shoe has been repaired several times before.
Due to extra material and labor, this repair does incur a larger fee.
$75
Split sole Repair
Many aggressive and moderate shoes in the market feature a split sole design. This design allows for better feel and control on overhangs and technical climbs.
The split sole repair removes the entire piece of original rubber, and allows the shoe to more effectively regain its downturned shape.
A half sole repair is possible on shoes that have a split sole, but we typically recommend a split sole repair to better restore the downturn shape of a shoe.
$55
Rand Repair
When a shoe is worn past the sole and through the rand, we have to patch that space to protect the materials underneath.
We check every shoe to make sure that there is decent life left in the rands. If the rand does not meet this criteria, we will replace them to prevent the rand from failing before the next resole. If one shoe is worn through, then the other is most likely needing a repair as well.
*A rand repair is not a standalone service, it is an add-on to sole repairs.
